A - MAJORITIES
Origin : FRANCE, created in ALSACE by MESSRS. HERSCHER, HIRSCHNER and TROG
Eggs to be smouldered : 35 in 40 grams - white shell
Diameter of rings : Cocks: 14 mm; Hen: 12 mm
Ideal mass : Cock from 900 to 950 grams; Hen from 750 to 800
grams
B - TYPE AND POPULAR PURPOSE
Real reduction of the big race. Poultry elegant woman, proud
attitude, body trapu and of cylindrical shape, lively temperament
C - STANDARD
COCK
BODY: cylindrical.
NECK: carried(worn) right(straight,straight ahead), proportionned in the size of the subject, rich and supplied well camail
BACK: rather long, slightly tilted towards the back, forming an angle opened with the tail. Plentiful lancets of loins.
BREAST: full, deep, very striking.
BELLY: developed well.
WINGS: averages in long, stuck well on the body.
TAIL: full, supplied well with hooked(curved) sickles
HEAD: average.
CREST: Curled, finely and regularly pearled, well at right angles to the skull, ended with a thorn carried(worn) horizontally and getting loose well nape of the neck. Crest does not have to be hollow or too wide.
BARBS: oval, not too much long, red scarlet.
MUMPS: in almond(kernel), of average size, whites.
FACE: red, without track of white, without sleeping bag. Lively, big EYES
BEAK: of average length, hardly, colour hooks bored. THIGHS:
Strong, slightly visible, well emplumées. TARSI: average Length, strong,
smooth.
HEN
Look like the cock by taking into
account sexual differences. Horizontal back, wide and deep breast, developed
well belly, fan-shaped tail, small crest, developed well and horizontal thorn.
D - COMPLEXION OF the PLUMAGE
BLACK VARIETY
Beak and dark nails. Dark eyes. Black tarsi or dark slate. Rich green reflection. Under matt black plumage.
GOLDEN VARIETY
( Often said, by mistake, PARTRIDGE) golden yellow Camail passing
in the red towards shoulders and flambÚ of black. Hen: colour of the
back supported enough with rachis yellow polishes and narrow border gilded(bronzed)
around every feather.
E - GRAVE DEFECTS
Absence of type ; not rather cylindrical body. Too wide and
too much curved sickles; too high carried(worn) tail to the cock. Thorn of not
horizontal crest and according to the nape of the neck; too short thorn to the
hen.
